Membership Types
There are a few types of club membership which have different costs, responsibilities and privileges...
 | Senior Membership accords full voting privilege. Acceptance is dependent upon at least one year spent as a Provisional Member. |
| Provisional Membership entitles members to non-voting rights to club facilities, equipment, and coaching. |
| Family Membership is enables families with two or more club members to save money. |
| Junior Membership is restricted (no vote) membership status accorded to otherwise unattached youth members under 18 years of age. |
| Supporting Membership is available to anyone (e.g. non-resident individuals or those making only occasional use of the club's facilities and equipment for not more than seven times per year) and is non-voting. |
| Life Membership is awarded under special circumstances by the board to people who have given outstanding service and contribution to the club or the sport of rowing. |
Riverside Boat Club Dues and Fees
| All dues and fees are per calendar year. (The boathouse lock is changed in March or April so that's the effective "drop dead" date after which you must pay up to gain access to the club.) |
| All dues and fees are subject to the club's written refund policy. |
Membership Dues
| Senior/Provisional Membership: $500.00 |
| Family Membership (two or more club members from the same family): $425.00 each |
| Junior Membership (under the age of 18): $320.00 |
| Partial-year Membership: Those joining between Aug. 31 and Nov. 1 pay one-half dues for the remainder of the year, those joining after Oct. 31 pay a full year's dues but their membership extends through the next year.) |
| Supporting Membership (limited to seven "athletic" visits per year): $50.00 |
Other Fees
| Initiation Fee (nonrefundable): $150.00 |
| Locker Fee: $50.00 (subject to availability -- lockers may be shared) |
| Private Rack Fee: $325.00 (subject to availability and the rack space waiting list) |
| Key Replacement Fee: $12.00 (keys are expensive!) |
| Bounced Check Fee: $25.00 |
