Many thanks to the RBC members, neighborhood folks,
Conservancy and DCR staff for the fantastic cleanup on
June 11, 2011.All in all the day was a huge success
with a cleaner, better landscaped park, and new friends
earned.After the cleanup, participants came back to
Riverside (to get out of the rain) for a pot luck luncheon
held in the repair bay complete with Best Ever Chicken
(the band).Several neighborors join in the Learn to
Row (thanks to Community Rowing for loaning a
barge) and reportedly had a blast. 
 
 
We are grateful to our partners who made the day
happen. These include the Cambridgeport
Neighborhood Association, DCR, the Charles River
Conservancy.
 
Thanks are also due to: Best Ever Chicken! (the band),
the New England Grassroots Environmental Fund,
Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, Star Market, Pro
EMS, Community Rowing, Inc., Simmon’s College,
Anthony Petrucelli, Alexis Sneff, Howard Brightman,
the Cambridge Historical Commission and the
Cambridge Historical Society.
 
Many RBC members worked hard at the event, but a
special shout out to Jeff Forrester and Kelsea Gusk for
transporting the barge to and from CRI in the rain,
Kelsea and her team of learn to row coaches, Tim
Villabona for non stop grilling in the rain and to Dick
Garver and Cindy Larson for their continued
community efforts.
