Riverside Boat Club of Cambridge, founded in 1869 is a non-profit community of rowers comprising about 250 men and women of various ages
and skill level. It is a membership organization that provides both competitive and recreational rowing instruction. Membership is open to all who
demonstrate a competence in rowing, comply with Club rules and are willing to provide service to the Club. The organization offers year-round training
and support to athletes who compete nationally and internationally.
The Club is a 501c3 organization and managed by a volunteer Board of eight members. All members are expected to volunteer to assist in the
running and upkeep of the club. The Club has no full time employees but contracts with several seasonal coaches and a rigger to provide service to it's
members.
