The sculling group is coached by Jeff Forrester.Jeff started rowing at Mathews HS in
Mathews, VA where he first learned to scull.He went on to row at Rutgers University for
four years- three as a heavyweight, one as a lightweight.His senior year culminated in a
second place finish at the IRAs in the Varsity lightweight 8+.After college, Jeff returned
home to VA and rowed with Mobjack Rowing Assoc over the summers and coached high
school rowing for 3 years before returning to serious training when he joined RBC in the
fall of 2003.While rowing for RBC, he won numerous medals at Elite and Club
nationals, Canadian Henley, and the Head of the Charles as well as making the 2007 US
National Team in the lightweight 8+.After wrapping up his rowing career in 2008, Jeff
took on the sculling group in the spring of 2009 and brings over 16 years of rowing
experience to the sculling group and loves every minute of it
