The Equipment Committee oversees the purchase and saleĀ of equipment for water and land training.Many factors play a
role in equipment decisions. First and foremost we are concerned with putting our rowers in the highest quality racing
shells that meet the needs of our club. Feedback from our rowers and coaches is an important portion of the decisions we
make. As such we have established a separate Yahoo group to facilitate equipment related discussions. The group is open

For new and prospective Riverside members below is a summary of our equipment:
Boats: As a competitive rowing club we have a fleet of world class racing shells. We provide boats for all programs
sweeps and sculls, singles through eights.
Oars: The club owns 4 sets of Concept 2 vortex edge sweep oars and several sets of sculling oars for use by the
membership. It is recommended that competitive scullers acquire their own set of blades.
Ergs:We maintain 16 Concept 2 rowing machines for use by members. Ergs are rotated every four years usually over
the winter
