Prior to September 22, 1998, Riverside Boat Club had no written dues refund policy. On
September 22, 1998, the Board voted to adopt the following dues refund policy:
 | To be eligible for a refund of any dues or fees, a club member must resign from the
club.
|
If after resigning, a person wish to re-join the club at a later date, he/she will have
to pay the new member initiation fee, join as a provisional member, and go to the bottom
of the rack space waiting list (if applicable).
 | Boat rack fees may be refunded at a pro-rated basis based on the percent of the
rowing season for which the rack was held.
|
 | Initiation, locker, and other fees are not refundable.
|
 | A percentage of senior, provisional, junior or family membership dues may be
refunded if the resignation/dues refund request is made to the board within a certain time
period according to the following schedule:
|
 | For people who were full club members during the previous year:
|
 | If a member resigns from the club and requests a dues refund by April 30th, he/she will
receive a refund of 50% of his/her paid-in dues for the current year |
 | If the dues refund request is received between May 1st and May 31st, he/she will receive
a 25% refund of his/her dues. |
 | If the dues refund request is received after May 31st, no dues will be refunded. |
 | For people who joined RBC as members during the current year and on or before August
31st:
|
 | If a member resigns from the club and requests a dues refund by the end of the month in
which they were voted into club membership, he/she will receive a refund of 50% of his/her
paid-in dues for the current year |
 | If the dues refund request is received during the month following the month in which
they were voted into club membership, he/she will receive a 25% refund of his/her dues. |
 | If the dues refund request is received after the month following that when they were
voted into club membership, no dues will be refunded. |
 | For people who joined RBC as members during the current year after August 31st, no
dues will be refunded.
