Currently Riverside is accepting applications for membership in all programs.

The application process to join Riverside is designed to help you see if the club can meet your needs and to let you know what the club will expect from you. We strongly encourage you to take the time to learn about the Club by speaking with the Membership Committee before paying your non-refundable Initiation Fee or Annual Dues (please note our due's refund policy). Riverside is a wonderful club, but it isn't for everyone. If you need information about the other clubs on the river, please do not hesitate to ask.

How to Apply

In order to join Riverside, all applicants must go through the process outlined below. The application process consists of 5 steps:

1. Complete the Application for Membership, sign the Dues Refund Policy and the Indemnification Form and submit with a non refundable $150.00 Initiation Fee by mail (769 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA 02139) or at Orientation.
2. Attend an Orientation (click here for orientation schedule)
3. Attend a work party. Work parties are usually held on the first Saturday of each month from 9-11am (email membership@riversideboatclub.com for next work party date/time). The work parties are the best opportunity to meet people and get started on the right foot at Riverside. Don't be shy about introducing yourself! 
4. Once you have completed the first 3 steps, attend a Membership Committee meeting to be 'cleared' for membership. You will pay your annual dues of $500 ($250 after September 1st) and receive your key.
5. Attend the next Quarterly General Meeting. At this meeting, you will be expected to tell the members about yourself, your rowing history and goals while at Riverside. Your membership will be voted on. If elected to the club you will be a Provisional Member.

* Please note, if you do not attend a Quarterly General Meeting within 6 months of joining Riverside, your membership will be suspended.

After one year you may apply for Senior Membership which will afford voting privileges and leadership opportunities. Good luck and thank you for your interest in Riverside Boat Club.
