Congratulations Phil & Phil
To Phil Henson and Phil Grisdela (and coach Bob Gillette) on winning
the US U23 trials in the lightweight men's pair.They will be
representing the United States at the 2011 World Rowing Under 23
Championships, in Amsterdam. They are the first Riverside athletes to
ever earn berths on the U23 National Team. HELP send them to
Amsterdam.

Hillary Saeger in a LTW Quad Sculls and Kyle Lafferty in a LTM
Pair will be competing at the 2011 World Championships on Lake
Bled in Slovinia beginning Aug 28.Read about them

Sixteen RBC crews raced for Henley Gold in fifteen different
events.The top finishers were Andrew Neils and Jake
Georgeson in the seniorlightweight double(2nd), and Jake,
Andrew, Vice President Mike Farry and Captain Sean Wolf in the
senior lightweight quad(2nd). Incidentally, Wolf and Farry were
also in the LM2x final.
Other lighlights include third place finishes in the men's
eight,U23 women's eight, U23 men's double, and U23 lightweight
women's pair.
Special props to Kit Casey and Severine Imbert De Smirnoff
for makingthe final in both the senior women's eight and quad.
The RBCJuniors raced in the finals of the U17 women's quad and
finished sixth.
Now, in 2012, can someone please trade in some of those
2nds and 3rds for some Henley Gold?
