The Riverside Juniors program is a four-season program focused on sculling. We welcome high school athletes during the summer, fall, winter, and spring seasons. Coaches focus on improving the technical skills, physical fitness, and mental tactics of athletes. We are committed to building the abilities of all of our athletes with an emphasis on safety, fun, and team camaraderie.
Fall Update:
Due to limited availability, we will not be utilizing our traditional application. Instead, we ask interested athletes to email the program coaches directly at juniors@riversideboatclub.com.
Please include the following in your email:
Metrics (height, weight, notable erg scores)
30” rowing clip (ideally 2 clips, one at SS, one at 30+)
Coaches’ recommendation (~300 words)
Short essay on why you would like to join Riverside (~300 words)
The fall season will run Labor Day to Veteran’s Day, with exact dates to be announced. Practices will be held M-Fr 4pm-6:30pm, and Saturday 10am-12:30pm.

Libby Lichter
Libby has been a Riverside member since July 2021. In their time, Libby has contributed to the club as treasurer of the women's sweeps team and as a member of the DEI committee. Prior to joining the coaching staff at RBC, Libby held positions at The Winsor School, Community Rowing Inc., Deerfield Academy, and the Wayland-Weston Rowing Association. While at Tufts University, they studied biology as well as child study and human development. When not on the water, Libby enjoys spending time in Deerfield, Ma with their dog, Sir Steven Redgrave.

OFF Hours Policy
Scheduled appointments are required for meetings at the boathouse. We are a private club and ask that you do not show up without a scheduled meeting with a coach or member.
