Hello Friends of Riverside!
2019 has been a spectacular year of celebration, competition, and community. We wanted to provide some updates as the year winds down and we look toward the 2020 season.
Honoring Our Past
On September 21st, nearly 200 RBC members and their guests celebrated Riverside’s 150th anniversary. The gala was held at MIT’s Samberg Center, which overlooks the Boston skyline as well as the Charles River Basin where many of us row everyday. Guest speakers Lisa Russell and Bill Littlefield honored the sport of rowing and human spirit of Riverside’s community.
Building Our Future
After replacing our docks and foundation, we have a new front porch. The sturdy structure promises 150 years of sunset views along the river.
Riverside is looking forward to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Several HPG athletes are making notable strides in preparation for the upcoming Olympic trials. Stay tuned for more information in our next RBC newsletter.
